Spring is in the air and we are ready to emerge from our homes with a splash of color — from soft pastels to bright orange and bubble gum pink. With better days ahead and things to be hopeful about, I sense a wave of optimism playing out this spring.
As always with our favorite things posts, I’ve gone through my closet, home, playlist, and bookshelf to find the things that I have used personally recently and fallen in love with to provide my honest recommendations.

Our Favorite Things for Spring - March 2021
Here are the beauty products, fashion finds, travel gear, books, movies and podcasts that we are loving this spring.
Womens Softspun High Neck Tank made with Organic Cotton | Pact
I miss shopping in person so much that I've become a total sucker for Instagram ads -- oh IG you know me so well! I ran across some ads for Pact, a fair trade clothing company that uses organic cotton, and its products were really affordable. I tried a pair of leggings and a few of these high neck tanks. I really like these tanks because I can use them for every day wear or for exercise. I appreciate clothing that can do double duty!
Women's Winner Sneakers | Taos
Winner, winner chicken dinner! I love Taos shoes for their arch support and I know have at least one pair for every season. This year I was looking for a fresher look that would look cute with my skinny jeans that tend to run a little short (so they look great with boots or flats but sometimes awkward with low-top sneakers. This style was a "Winner."
Glow Maker Serum by MaeLove
I'm a big fan of clean beauty products, especially ones that don't cost a gazillion dollars. The Glow Maker serum from MaeLove fits the bill. Featuring Vitamins C, E, Ferulic Acid and Hyaluronic Acid, it gives you hydrated and brightened skin all day long.

Babe Lash Eyelash & Brow Enhancer Serum
After the amazing results I saw from using the GrandeBrow Serum on my brows, I decided to see what an eyelash serum could do for my once-long lashes that have turned brittle and thin from heavy eye drop usage and age. True to marketing, BabeLash serum has lengthened and softened my lashes.

Complementary Wines and Cheeses Pairing Matching Guide Wheel
Since we have been spending all our time at home these days, we have tried to make our weekends a bit more interesting with virtual cooking classes and wine tastings. To help out, I found this fun (and cheap) little wine and cheese pairing wheel on Amazon.

Another Brooklyn: A Novel
I love everything Jacqueline Woodson writes. Her succinct use of language. Her characters. Her storytelling. If you don't have a lot of time to read but want to be draw into a story, try Another Brooklyn. It retells the story of long-ago friendship set in 1970s Brooklyn.

Life Is in the Transitions: Mastering Change at Any Age
Midlife is full of transitions and the upheaval of our world recently adds another layer of emotion and complexity to this time in our lives. Life is in the Transitions studied hundreds of people and categorizes both the types of life transitions we all face, and the ways in which we approach them, along with ideas on how to cope.
Nomadland (2020) - IMDb
Since we haven't gone to the movies in over a year, I'm somewhat starved for new entertainment and anything to do with travel catches my eye. Brilliantly acted by Frances McDormand, Nomadland lands follows Fern, a seasonall- employed widow from Nevada, on her journey to become a full-time nomad and the other nomads she meets along the way. If you have ever considered #vanlife -- this is a must watch.
Wild for Scotland Podcast
Since I'm busy dreaming about future travel and Scotland is high on my list, I just started listening to the brand new Wild for Scotland podcast. This story-telling podcast draws you in and lets you picture the Scottish countryside but also includes practical travel tips.
