I created Your Time to Fly® to share my passion for discovering new destinations and to empower travelers, particularly midlife women, to plan meaningful trips and fulfill their travel dreams. Over the years it’s grown into both a travel blog and a boutique travel agency, offering inspiration for those who love to dream and support for those ready to go.
As a travel blogger and Rhode Island-based travel agent, I specialize in approachable luxury and experiential travel — from romantic getaways and girls’ trips to family adventures and solo escapes for midlife women.
I believe that the magic of travel lies in the details: a perfectly chosen boutique hotel, a local guide who shares hidden gems, a moment of quiet beauty you didn’t expect. My goal is to bring those moments to life through carefully curated itineraries for my clients and inspirational stories on the blog.
Whether you come here to read travel stories, get ideas for your next destination, or work with me to design a custom itinerary, I hope you’ll find inspiration, expertise, and a reminder that the world is full of experiences waiting for you — and it’s your time to fly.

Tamara Gruber, Digital Publisher & Rhode Island-based Travel Advisor

I founded Your Time to Fly® in 2020 as I entered a new season of life — one where travel with my husband and friends (or by myself) became easier, and I found myself embracing the freedom of an empty nest.
I wanted to create a space for women like me — curious, experienced travelers who aren’t done exploring, but ready to travel a little differently: with more purpose, comfort, and connection.
Before turning my passion for travel into a career, I spent more than 20 years in marketing communications and strategic planning for technology-based companies, supported by a BS and MBA in Business Administration and Marketing. That experience sharpened my skills in organization, research, and client service — all of which now help me design seamless, personalized travel experiences.
My Travel Background
I’ve visited over 40 countries across six continents, explored all 50 U.S. states and seven Canadian provinces, and I’m constantly inspired by what I learn along the way.
In 2013, I launched We3Travel, a family travel blog that grew into a trusted resource for parents exploring the world with their kids (and was sold in 2025). A few years later, I co-founded and co-hosted the Vacation Mavens podcast, sharing stories and advice for nearly a decade.
I currently serve on the Executive Board of the Family Travel Association and I’m a member of SATW (Society of American Travel Writers), ASTA (American Society of Travel Advisors), and the Adventure Travel Trade Association.
Where I Call Home
A Jersey girl at heart, I spent time in New York City before settling in Rhode Island near Providence, where I’ve lived for more than two decades. When I’m not planning client trips or writing about travel, you’ll likely find me road-tripping through New England, hiking a mountain trail, or exploring the cobblestone streets of Europe in search of a great meal and a glass of wine.
At home, I enjoy taking long walks outside, reading voraciously, listening to a wide range of podcasts, and snuggling with my cat.
